Box Four 8 Speed Shifter

The Box Four shifter’s main features aren’t strikingly different from Box Three’s. The key difference is its 8-speed platform. We’ve chosen to modernize the 8-speed in much the same way we did the 9-speed for Prime 9. Just like the Prime 9, the Box Four shifters take advantage of the “less is more” theme and exploit durability, simplicity, and reliability.

The Box Four Rear Derailleur is the base of Prime 9 Technology that offers an affordable clutch based 1 by 8-speed derailleur that is simple and light; this makes it a perfect candidate for every entry-level bike that traditionally has a 3 by drive-train that is neither durable nor user friendly.

The Box Four cassette adapts our Prime 9 philosophy of durability, simplicity, and reliability at a great price point. All cogs are stamped from steel, given our durable black coating and then the larger cogs are pinned to each other with spacers for easy installation.

Box Four 8 Speed 116 Link Chain Natural

The Box Four chain employs an 8-speed platform in a similar strategy to the Prime 9 but at a great price point. The chain is polished and then chemically treated to achieve corrosion resistance. We engineered the inner link spacing to be a little tighter than other 8-speed chains and is optimized for use with our Box Four Wide/Narrow Chainring.
